Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Original Effort collects, uses, and protects information when you visit originaleffort.com, request access, sign a nondisclosure agreement, view protected projects, or apply to collaborate on a project.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide, including your name, email address, typed legal signature, NDA acceptance details, collaboration application responses, and documents you choose to upload. We also maintain account, access-permission, and project-activity records needed to operate the protected archive. Our service providers may collect routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and security or authentication logs.

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the site; authenticate users; record and administer NDA acceptance; review, grant, modify, or revoke project access; process collaboration applications; send transactional and administrative emails; respond to inquiries; prevent misuse; and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and disclosure

We use service providers to host the site, store data and uploaded files, provide authentication, and deliver email. These currently include Vercel, Neon, Clerk, Resend, and Google when you choose Google sign-in. They process information as necessary to provide their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.

Authentication and Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile image to our authentication provider. Original Effort uses that information only to create and authenticate your account and administer access. We do not request access to your Google contacts, files, or email.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain legal and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. NDA acceptance and related audit records may be kept as evidence of the agreement. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements. You may stop using Google sign-in and use another available authentication method. You can also revoke Original Effort's Google account access through your Google account settings.

Children

Original Effort is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
